The hydraulic-electrical pressure switch of type HED 8 is a plunger pressure switch. They consist essentially of a housing, mounting kit with plunger, compression spring, adjusting element and microswitch.
If the pressure to be monitored is lower than the set pressure, operate the microswitch. The pressure to be monitored is transmitted to the plunger through the orifice. The plunger is supported by a spring seat and overcomes the changing force of the compression spring. The spring seat transmits the movement of the plunger to the microswitch and releases the pressure of the latter when the set pressure is reached. This opens or closes the circuit, depending on the circuit settings. The mechanical front stop of the spring seat protects the microswitch from mechanical damage in case of sudden pressure drop and overpressure and prevents solid compression of the compression spring.
Note:
To extend service life, install the pressure switch in such a way that it vibrates less and is protected from hydraulic shock.

Two-way cartridge valves are components designed specifically for compact block designs. The power unit connecting A and B is mounted in a receiving hole in the multi-way valve conforming to ISO 7368 and closed with a lid. In most cases, this cover is also the connection from the control side of the power unit to the pilot control valve.
The power unit can be applied to pressure, direction and throttle functions, or to a combination of these functions, controlled using corresponding pilot control valves. A particularly effective solution is achieved by adjusting multiple flow specifications for the individual lines of the actuator. Applying the power unit of the component to multiple functions is cost-effective.
Two-way cartridge valves usually consist of a control cap and mounting kit. The control cover contains control holes and optional travel limiting functions, hydraulically controlled directional seat valves, or shuttle valves that match the desired overall function. In addition, electric directional spools or seat valves can be installed at the control cover. Mounting kit includes bushing, ring (high only for NG32 models), valve carrier, optional with or without damping, and closing spring.
The function of the two-way cartridge valve is related to pressure. In this way, three critical pressurized areas are achieved for the function.

Two-way cartridge valves for pressure functions are pilot-operated seat valves or spool valves. The power unit designed as a cartridge valve is mounted in a receiving bore standardized to DIN ISO 7368 and closed with a control cover.
Pilot control valves for manual or electric proportional pressure regulation are integrated into or mounted on the control cover as pilot valves with mounting size according to DIN 24 340.
By combining cartridge valves with control caps, different pressure functions can be achieved.
Pressure relief function
Cartridge valve for pressure relief function (model LC.DB..) Seat valve designed to have no area difference (no effective area at port B). The effective pressure at port A is directed through the pilot oil supply orifice to the spring side of the element. At the pressure set on the pilot control valve, the spool is pressure compensated and closed by spring force.
When the set pressure is reached, the spool opens and the pressure at port A is limited based on pressure-fluid characteristics.

For relief functions with opening characteristics, a pressure limiting cartridge valve (type LC.. DB40D...）and a control cap with pressure-reducing pilot control valve (type LFA.. DR...）。Pilot oil is directed from port A to side B through the supply orifice and the open pilot control valve.
The main spool opens and releases flow from port A to port B.
When the setpoint pressure is reached, the spool closes and the pressure at port B decreases according to the pressure-fluid characteristic. The potential pressure increase on the secondary controlled side is vented to the tank via the pilot control valve 3rd route. The setting of the directional valve will activate the additional blocking function (model LFA.. DRW...）。
Pressure sequence function
This function enables pressure-based connections of secondary systems.
The required switching pressure is set via a pilot control valve integrated in the control cover.
Pilot oil supply can be external (pilot oil port X) or internal (from port A via pilot oil port X or Z2).
The pilot control spring chamber is led to the tank via port Y or Z1 by pressure relief.
Example of oil circuit
Example 1:(Oil circuit based on pressure unloading for low pressure system)
The system is fed by high pressure pumps and low pressure pumps. The system pressure pS acts externally on the pilot control valve from the high pressure side via the pilot oil port, which sets the low pressure side of the relief circuit after reaching the set pressure value. Check valve RV (not included in scope of delivery) protects connection of HP system to existing relief LP system.
When the pressure set on the pilot control spring is reached, the pilot control valve is switched and the spring chamber of the tank main valve is unloaded. The main spool opens and releases the A to B connection.
In model LFA.. DZW... The valve can be operated via an electrically operated pilot control valve (not included in the LFA.. DZ... Select the desired switching position except for the hydraulic circuit.
Example 2:(Oil circuit for pressure-based connection of secondary system)
With this circuit, system 2 is not connected until the pressure in system 1 reaches the value. Pilot oil drain is achieved internally from port A of the main valve.
